Thereâs something about true crime podcasts we canât get enough of. Jake Brennan stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest and took us behind his tantalizing iHeartRadio podcast Disgraceland.
Disgraceland explores the alleged true crime antics and criminal connections of the biggest and most notorious musicians.
âIt took me about six months to write the first episode and produce it,â Jake shared. âItâs a music and true crime podcast and I try to tell the stories of these musicians through the crimes theyâve either committed or have happen to them rather than just tell the history of them theyâve told in the past.â
Disgraceland has explored the lives of Jerry Lee Lewis, Tupac Shakur, Amy Winehouse, N.W.A, Led Zeppelin, A$AP Rocky, Iggy Pop, Eminem and more.
âI think itâs a vulnerability thing,â Jake said of peopleâs obsession. âI think people feel vulnerable and these stories freak them out and especially when theyâre about people they may know and already have an established feeling about, these folks to them, thereâs other stories that have happened in the process, itâs really intriguing and interesting.â
