Jade Thirlwall is reliving her history with Harry Styles as the former Little Mix singer revealed some details of their very brief relationship.
During an appearance on "The Louis Theroux Podcast," Thirlwall explained that Styles actually ghosted her after one date — but like a true gentleman, he later on apologized. Thirlwall met Styles when they each auditioned for the UK version of The X Factor in 2010, and ended up going on a date. Jade recalled, "I think we went on, like, one date ... we were like 16."
Thirlwall added, "He'd just got put in the band. It was really funny because we kept in touch and then the minute they went on live shows, he didn't message me back and I thought, 'That's it now. He's gone. He's made it.'"
Styles went on to find success with One Direction while Thirlwall joined Little Mix, and the following year, they crossed paths where it all began, The X Factor. And Harry apologized for not answering Jade after their date. Jade remembered, "I saw him in a room after [the show] and he was like, 'I'm really sorry I ignored you.'"
Theroux then asked, "He ghosted you?" to confirm, and Thirlwall replied, "Yes." She also added, "But, I was so young it didn't really matter."
Jade had nothing else but nice things to say about her former flame, sharing, "He was always very, very lovely. He's got himself to where he is because he's very talented and he's very lovely."
