Have you ever wanted to stay at the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland?
Well now is your chance, kinda haha, because there is an Airbnb listing for a Haunted Mansion-inspired house in Fullerton. The house "pays tribute to the fan-favorite attraction with Haunted Mansion-inspired décor, along with special sound, lighting and visual FX throughout the property. The Haunted Manion-inspired listing is brought to you by Jeff Schiefelbein, who is a production designer for film, TV and amusement parks and has also worked with Knott's Scary Farm, Universal Studios Orlando, the Queen Mary's Dark Harbor and more with his company, Sinister Pointe Productions.
“The Haunted Mansion is what inspired me to do what I do at a young age. And now I have had the ability after all these years to recreate what I loved the most,” Schiefelbein told KTLA.
“This is not too scary for kids by any means, but we do try and promote the retreat to mostly older fans of the mansion just due to the nature of the property being that it contains many very expensive FX and décor,” Schiefelbein said.
“We don’t want the little ones running around and breaking things.”
It took Schiefelbein 2 months to create the Ghostly Retreat and it accommodates up to 8 guests. The listing is available to book from September 23rd-January 8, 2023 for $649 a night and just like the Haunted Mansion ride, the Airbnb will have a "holiday-themed overlay for Christmas season beginning in November."
