Miley Cyrus Responds To Being Groped By Fan 'Without Her Consent'

The 2019 Met Gala Celebrating Camp: Notes on Fashion - Arrivals

Can't be tamed — and can't be touched… without her permission!

Miley Cyrus is speaking out on the shocking encounter she had with a fan in Spain over the weekend. The "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart" singer made headlines Saturday (June 1) in Barcelona, where she was set to replace Cardi B as a headliner at the Primavera Sound Festival, when Cyrus was caught off-guard by one of her touchy-feely followers.

In a video circulating the web as we speak, the 26-year-old can be seen following her husband, Liam Hemsworth, through a throng of people in an effort to make it to there car before an unknown man forcibly wraps his arm around Cyrus' neck and tries pulling her in for an unwanted kiss.

Luckily, the artist was able to dodge the unsolicited attempt with the intervention of her security guards and help from Hemsworth, who instructs his wife to walk ahead of him as he escorts her to their vehicle. For obvious reasons, the clip has since gone viral — and after days of silence, Cyrus finally addressed the matter on Twitter last night (June 4).

“She can be wearing what she wants. She can be a virgin. She can be sleeping with 5 different people. She can be with her husband. She can be with her girlfriend. She can be naked She CAN’T be grabbed without her consent. #DontF**kWithMyFreedom," the "Unholy" musician wrote in an important public service announcement on consent.
