10 Pop Culture-Inspired Celebrity Halloween Costumes To Wear This Year

pop culture 2018 halloween costumes

This year was filled with unforgettable (and sometimes meme-worthy) moments in pop culture. From Ariana Grande's cosmic appearance in the "God is a Woman" music video to Beyoncé's iconic Coachella outfit, we've collected a trove of 2018-inspired celebrity Halloween costumes to give you some much-needed motivation as the holiday approaches.

Scroll down to see how you can get the looks below.

1. Ariana Grande in the "God is a Woman" music video

What to wear: Quite possibly the cheapest lewk on our list, this ensemble requires only a few shades of purple paint — as well as an inflatable swimming pool and a ton of confidence, should you fully commit to the stripped-down scene as this YouTuber did.

2. Constance Wu's blue tulle dress in Crazy Rich Asians

What to wear: If you're not crazy rich — like most of us — you'll have to improvise a bit with this one. You can hit up any Claire's for accessories and Party City for that tiara, but we'd recommend the full tulle maxi dress from ASOS ($48) to bring the look around full circle.

3. The Royal Wedding

What to wear: Thankfully, you won't have to shell out hundreds of thousands to get Prince Harry and Meghan's royal look. While not nearly as "graceful" as the Duchess' original dress, Yandy put out a rather sultry opposite (see it here) and they even have something like Harry's regal wedding attire, too.

4. Antoni from Queer Eye

What to wear: This one's easy — and adorable! This Queer Eye ensemble simply requires a pair of jeans and Antoni's favorite A Little Life shirt — find it at RedBubble for $19. If you want to be extra — and we know you do! — pair the look with one of the chef's favorite produce picks. (We'd recommend the avocado.)

5. Beyonce at Coachella

What to wear: Fortunately, some incredibly talented person has already recreated Yonce's signature canary yellow hoodie — and DIY'ing those unicorn-like fringe boots is easier than it looks. So now all you'll need are some jean shorts and a sick beat.

6. The Carters in the "APES**T" Music Video

What to wear: Arrive as hip-hop royalty on All Hallow's Eve with this easy peasy (and somewhat pricey) get-up. You can grab JAY-Z's seafoam green suit jacket look-alike from TOPMAN and can bag Beyonce's pink blazer at ASOS, or even from AmeriMark.

7. Black Panther

What to wear: This is easily going to be the most popular superhero costume this Halloween — and luckily for you, there are plenty of places around to shop all your favorite Wakanda looks.

8. Cardi B at Met Gala 2018

What to wear: A dupe dress for Cardi B's Jeremy Scott number could be hard to find — at least within most people's spending budget — so we'd recommend you storm every thrift store in your area and keep your eyes open for a champagne-colored gown that works for you. And you can bedazzle the dress with gems from any craft store, too!

9. Lara Jean in To All the Boys I've Loved Before

What to wear: Be teen queen Lara Jean this year with a simple floral dress and this dusty pink bomber jacket. You can even throw on some white Chuck Taylors and a mini brown backpack from any Target or Wal-Mart to finish the piece.

10. Ariana Grande & Pete Davidson (Pre-Breakup)

What to wear: Go as the year's most-talked-about-couple-no-longer with these laid-back looks. For Pete, grab this $15 flannel jacket and find his Good Time Men's tee over at RedBubble. For Ari's fit, you can get any old hooded sweatshirt for less than $10 and some knee-high brown suede boots over at Tobi.
